When the deep purple falls over sleepy garden walls
And the stars begin to flicker in the sky
Breathing my name with a sigh
In the still of the night once again I hold you tight
Though you’re gone, your love lives on when moonlight beams
And as long as my heart will beat, lover we’ll always meet
Here in my deep purple dreams

Eshi Otawara has created an ensemble as part of the tribute – “For the Love of McQueen” by Avenue Magazine
True to form, Eshi has taken an unusual approach in her design, which in the past has startled, thrilled, mesmerised and shocked elements of our virtual world.
The ensemble includes dress, earrings, headpiece and boots
The beautiful skin was provided by Fade Lei from Ugly Duck. Hair is from Gritty Kitty
This dress is bold in concept, edgy in its execution
Stark black and white, bare breasted, daringly unique
This design will be available for the month of March from Eshi’s Store. 100% of the sales proceeds will be donated to the charity, Keep A Child Alive, since Alexander McQueen was a known supporter of similar AIDS / HIV charities.

Melt. An installation on thin ice.
Mourning Dress by Lark
This project is a study of translations. I presented 25 artists within Second Life with a concept of creating art with these words in mind: Drowning. Melting. Polar bears. Arctic. Culpability. Corporate greed. Inevitability. Extinction.

This satellite image shows the Mertz Glacier, the two rifts and the massive iceberg which hit the glacier, breaking off the iceberg. (Australian Antarctic Division) About 3 weeks ago.
With an area of more than 2,500 square kilometres, the iceberg holds enough fresh water to supply all of the earth’s human needs for a year. It broke off the Mertz Tongue Glacier two weeks ago. It is in an area of the Antarctic with extremely cold, salty water, which drives global ocean circulation.
I’m a great fan of a good short hairstyle – its a great way to show off the lovely chunky earrings I adore 🙂
I rediscovered Gritty Kitty today. Noam Sprocket has made new textures, so it was truly a pleasant surprise. Many of the hair I like is made for boys, but as you can see, looks great for girls too!
And two longer ones…
Bella, with colour change slices
Thursday, with colour change hat
All hair from Gritty Kitty
Earrings: KOS from Glow Studio
Skin: Lucy in natural from Ugly Duck
Away in the hills of Inis Caiseal roams a witch lost out of time
Good witch, bad witch…who knows?
Truth be known, she is not a very good witch. Try as she might, she can cast few spells
Her most treasured possession, The Alchemists Tome, never leaves her side. She has managed to achieve a degree of success from it with the Soul Catcher spell
She follows the text by moonlight
And captures the souls of those who cross her, locking them away in her Book for safekeeping
Skin: Chani in Henna by Ugly Duck
Nosering: Nizam mughal nosering by Zaara
Earrings: KOS by Glow Studios
Hair: Thursday by Gritty Kitty, with colour changing hat
Shirt: “Leanan-Sidhe” Bra by Chaospire
Jacket: Nightlove by Leezu
Skirt: Highland Warrior kilt by Emo-tions
Book: Illusions for the Alchemist tome from Morior Galea – this is a unique typing overrider with particle effects (you can switch them off) and the ability to catch souls. A truly great piece, well worth your while to visit the store to see!
Poses: All poses from High Fidelity
From a rugged field far away, i hear the gentle baaaaaaaing of sheep, calling me back to a place I know…
I fly to the sheep, and land at their feet, hitting the ground running. They appear to be only slightly peeved
We talk and talk, about changes that have ocurred and those that are yet to come. We talk as the sun goes down and day changes to night. Quoting directly from the creators, I am told
“I want to share the direction I am going in my builds because I welcome feedback directly. In the future I plan on adding a country pub, alongside a historical castle which I will use as my retail storefront. I plan on specialising in prefabs and building in a rustic country manner. The pub will likely be called “Three Sheeps to the Wynd”. This is mainly because I love the sheep and want them to have a humourous presence on the sim as they have on Empress. Haggis is not served in the pub.
Alchemy and I also want to sponser celtic folk artists in the future in the pub and in the centre of the new standing stone ring on Inis Caiseal. We’re interested in traditional session style events. If you can play fiddle, tin whistle, bodhran, and/or sing traditional folk songs please contact AlchemyImmortalis Cyannis. That is our joint business account and by archiving business related notecards and IMs there, it helps us organise better. Thank you”
I receive quite a lecture from the Grand Dame sheep because of my infrequent visits in recent times, however I promise this will change
she gently reminds me of the beauty here
There’s nothing quite like a remote cottage upon sunset
I am forgiven by all the sheep concerned, and bid a fond farewell, with a promise to return soooon

Fade Leis new male skins arrived at Ugly Duck today.
If you like your skins heavily photosourced, these are not for you. If you prefer your skins to reflect hours and hours of painstakingly hand drawn detail, these are for you. Take a look:
Showing ‘Michael’ skin, with european shape
Closer view of ‘Michael’ skin – top row is lighter brows, bottom row is darker brows and a variety of clean shaven, freckled, 5 o’clock shadow
This is the ‘Gabriel’ skin. I have used an Asian shape for this. Top row again shows lighter brows, lower row is darker brows, both rows show a selection of the variety available.
The torso has good shading definition without the appearance of a ‘roider. For more investigative examination of these skins, take a tp to Ugly Duck and try some demos!
Skins: Gabriel and Michael new releases from Ugly Duck
Hair: from the newly released ‘Abel’ style from Gritty Kitty
Clothing: All clothing from Aitui
Shoes: Superstars by Soreal
Pose:new from Del May, ‘Punk With Knife’
Sohia Harlow is curious…..
Numerically, its now 4 years since I first arrived with a crash into this virtual world.
Back then, I had a Pentium III, on board graphics, 500 mb RAM and an ADSL connection. I came to Secondlife via a yahoo chat group – I had been a chat junkie for years and years and years. Numbers peaked at 13,000 on Saturday nights, I had voice capability from day 1 via a Ventrilo group, everyone and their parents investigated free sex clubs, I crashed every 5 minutes on schedule, and maxed out an fps of 4. I watched the Dutch and German influx, then the British, the rest of the Europeans, then the Australians, New Zealanders, South Americans, Chinese, Japanese and all the while more and more Americans. It was a global experience that I loved. I managed to persevere for 2 years (!) with this computer equipment, then used my SL earnings to buy a dual core pc with 4 GB RAM, an LCD 24″ screen and an Nvidia GTX 260 graphics card. My fps usually hovers around 40 and goes up to 70 depending where I am. SLIfe is good! I also now have an excellent quality fibre optic cable connection.
The photographs below show that I have changed somewhat. The photo on the left was taken by me in 2006 – I am wearing Cake hair, early Gala (Curio) skin, and a dress that I cannot remember. My shape was called Athena, made by someone who is no longer in world. It was tall and very bosomy.
I changed a LOT in the intervenng years, and I now have a slight built tall shape that I made myself. It is the only thing I have ever made. The photograph on the right I took just 30 minutes ago. I am wearing hair from Gritty Kitty, skin from Ugly Duck, T Shirt from Nouveau Miranda, lashes from Miamai.
I have great faith in the future of virtual worlds, and Secondlife in particular. I find the future to be exciting and the possibilities endless. I plan to stick around for a long time.
I do miss the many people I have known who have moved on from this environment. I also feel especially blessed to have had the opportunity to meet and get to know so many people from around the world. Please stay around, and say ‘hi’ to me in world!
