A reasonably new dress from Kunglers caught my eye, this is anything but plain. The construction is clean and sleek, with excellent detail, specially in the feather trim
Teamed with trhe very Eshi-esque hair, ‘Slightly Unusual’
Closer view of hair
This is a great movement dress, allowing you to dance and cavort without being tortured by sculpts

I close my eyes
Then I drift away
Zeta dress by Kunglers, hair by Calico Ingmann, jewellery by Dark Mouse, skin by INAYA, shoes by Surf co
Into the magic night
I softly sway
Oh smile and pray
Like dreamers do
Then I fall asleep
To dream my dreams of you
In dreams…I walk with you
In dreams…I talk to you
In dreams…Your mine
All of the time
We’re together
In dreams…In dreams
But just before the dawn
I awake and find you gone
I can’t help it…I can’t help it
If I cry
I remember
I’ll be happy in my dreams
Only in dreams
In beautiful dreams

Lyrics from “In Dreams” by Roy Orbison
Mark Kingdon is going to step down as CEO, and I am going to return as interim CEO, working side-by-side with former CFO Bob Komin, who is being promoted to COO.
This is a big, tough change but one the board of directors and management team deeply believes in. We owe Mark great thanks for the many things we’ve accomplished in these last two years — most notably a great improvement in the stability of Second Life, and also the hiring and nurturing of a strong team of new leaders who are now ready to do some amazing work together.
Returning to the Lab
Posted by Philip Linden on Jun 24, 2010 9:04:47 AM
Our thinking as a team is that my returning to the CEO job now can bring a product and technology focus that will help rapidly improve Second Life. We need to simplify and focus our product priorities — concentrating all our capabilities on making Second Life easier to use and better for the core experiences that it is delivering today. I think that I can be a great help and a strong leader in that process.
It is an honor to have a chance to help more directly again, and I come to this mission with energy, excitement, and an open mind about what we need and how we need to do it. I want to see Second Life continue to grow, amaze, and change the world. It’s what gets me up in the morning. Despite the challenges of such a big change, I am happy to be drafting this blog post while sitting in our San Francisco office, surrounded by the many Lindens who have made it all possible.
More to come, as soon as we all get settled and figure out how best to work together!

New news, has M Linden been fired, to be replaced by Philip Linden?
As a CEO, this is not as simple or straightforward as sacking a contractor or even a permanent staff member. Following on from M Linden’s noticeable absence at a speech at SL7B this morning, and emergency replacement by Philip, rumour mills have been working overtime.

SL7B opens today amid controversy. A highly regarded SL artist has been banned for exhibiting children’s toys (barbie dolls) in her build as described on Joonie’s blog, Toxic Menges has resigned the day before opening (another highly regarded resident) and the rating of PG has been redefined to be suitable only for a 7 year old to repeat at school! With regard to this last, my question would be, why is a 7 year old allowed access to SL at all??? Oh, and as recently as this morning, the DCS2 build has withdrawn due to late arguments over pre approved content.
Enough of those controversial issues.
The Emerald Team has managed to acquire, build and present to you a display, “Emerald Your World”.
The theme for SL7B is Unexpected Collaborations, and the entire concept of Emerald fits the bill perfectly. The success of Emerald viewer, by far the most successful third party viewer today, has been largely due to not only the collaborative work of a hugely diverse group of developers scattered across the planet, but also a collaboration through overwhelming support from you, the user. For this, we thank you!
“Unexpected Collaborations”
Please come along and visit here. You can download the latest emerald release, get some info about support, the dev team and Emerald itself. You can also view photographs of our current team!

In the 2nd part of my Inaya series, I show you ‘Roshaylee’, an elegant skin with depth and character!

A little while ago I was invited to review a new-to-me skin designer, trading under the name Inaya. I agreed to this, and was most pleasantly surprised to receive a substantial review pack. Because of the sheer variety of skins, i will be doing a short series.
The first skin I found to my great delight is Maori, named for the indigenous people of New Zealand where I live. The has got to be one of the most beautiful brown skins i have seen yet. Not only that, this skin tone has been created with care, so that it is not just another lightened black skin, but truly reflects the unique pigment of the Maori. see for yourself…
Maori by Inaya. Hair by Miamai. Bikini is Infinity series by Boom.Jewellery by Dark Mouse
The body textures are well constructed with no misplacing. the breast shading is realistic and does not artificially uplift.
The face is attractive without a barbie look. The brows arch nicely. I am also wearing lovely brown eyes from Exodi, Zbilja in Rowan, and new lashes from Exile.
So..I dressed up to go dancing. Clothing by Plastik, jewellery new from Morantique, hair from Vanity.

As show, from these stores Inaya, Vanity Hair, Exodi, Exile, Boom, Plastik, Miamai, Morantique, Dark Mouse
And for those of you still reading, below is a youtube video of a much loved Maori band, playing live. it is typical of music in this country. Enjoy!
I found this dress at Badoura Design – the skirt reminded me of bells so that is what I have named the post 🙂
The dress and bolero jacket come as two seperate pieces – Liah dress (new) and Glitter Bolero
Closer view shows you the rather lovely work in the prims which fit quite sleekly
My necklace is Shelly by KessKreations. KessKreations Shelly necklace is a large chain necklace with various charms hanging from it. It is scripted to texture change for a variety of options. The script was written specifically for KessKreations by Gigs Taggart, Linden Lab’s 2007 Hippo Award winner for Best Bughunter, and with sim resources in mind. this will be available from Etheria – When jewelers dream…. On June 13, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. join SL’s Dreamiest Jewelers for a very special & collaborative fashion event! Please go to KessKreations blog for landmark to this special event.

I decided to glam up for some nice photos, but somehow that got a little railroaded….I found an old pair of pants in my inventory from a designer now gone 😦 but with an outlet! So here we go…
The unbelievable hair is from Bliss Couture. I tinted the bow fire engine red
My Super Sexy Pose is most unglam, but captures the mood of the stunning outfit perfectly!
These happy snaps show you I’m just far too unglam to be considered a Fashionista
With a nod to the 90s, my nifty necklace reminds me of fab times, hunched over a console till the wee small hours
And if you don’t like it mate, the door’s thataway!
