I’ve got this arrangement with a friend – she teaches me Photoshop techy thingies and I teach her wordpress bloggy thingies. Today, we spent 4 hours teaching me the PS bits and bobs. Here we go:
This is the basic image I started with. Set against a fullbright white background, a simple posed snapshot
Post processing – I won’t bore you with all the inbetween steps, but I can assure you it took about 4 hours.
And a wee frame. This photograph looks to me as if she is a painting on some recently excavated ruins. I had a terrific time learning this, thank goodness my teacher has the patience of a saint!

The second dress, Aida, is shown full length.
I have added the stunning jewellery from Alchemy Immortalis, “Ami amet deli pencet” French Brooch Necklace and Vine Earrings and used the options to alter the metal to silver.

One of the best things about going to collaborative events, is in the discoveries you make. New designers, designers new to you, ideas, concepts, the “oh wow I didn’t know you could do that!” moments, and of course the opportunity to meet new people.
I made a number of discoveries at DU 3 which quite thrilled me. Here we go with Oyakin:
Skirt and jacket sold seperately, and available in a range of colours.
Lots and lots and lots of shirts, all colours
And of course a vast range of skirts
And these dreamy tops….
A giftie for group members
Oh and these boots! I love them – not at DU 3, but fantastic too. From [ON] at Drowsy

And a song for you (yes its a kiwi singer):
The opening of Designers United 3 last night was a scene of MASS lag. Sometimes, that effects designers too! There’s a couple of updates today, you should have received these updates if you purchased these things:
This torso-defining corset is a part of the Veschi-ville outfit
This is how it looks – a little different from my earlier post. The corset is adjustable by clicking and selecting from the drop down menu
And lastly, the hair from Waffles has now got the 2 strings of pearls decorations. You should have also received thiese if you purchased the hair earlier.
See you there!
Once more I was enticed to visit the Designers United 3 Event to seek out more quirky designs.
This two way design from Runoruno, ‘5 Minutes to Curtain’ did the trick
the skirt cascades from the back
And now for a bit of mischief, attired in Aurelia from !Dada! with giant match included……..
Uh oh…
You will find these and more at Designers United 3 Event for one week only!
I’ve been waiting impatiently for episode 3 of Designers United – this event’s theme is Vaudeville. It was with a sense of exhilaration that I arrived at 12.07, just after midnight SLT to see a mass of similarly enthused followers of Wearable Art. I say this because the clothing and accessories available at this event are not your run-of-the-mill kick around the grid bargain store style. These designers have let their imaginations run, with a tumultuous splash of brilliant colours, intepreting as they go the theme of DU # 3, ‘Vaudeville’. Let us see what i found:
Veschi-ville: This outfit comes with a luscious corset, however my pc just did not want to rezz it tonight, and I wanted to show you at least part of this slick outfit

A couplet of Oyakin designs
A flurry of dresses: Couverture, OhMai, -LA MAISON KAESTNER-black shoes from Annexx, matched shoes by LMK
