I was thrilled to attend Hair Fair 09 and make discoveries. One of these was the design house ! Wasabi Pills!, the work of the talented MissAllSunday Lemon. Here are some examples of her talent:
Shown here and below is the delectable Ailith style in Jet black
Another tempting creation is Lulu also in Jet Black, in the following two photographs.
These are available at the Hair Fair 09 now at Wasabi Pills booth

Take 3 girls, 3 stunning outfits from Miel, 3 pairs of boots from the astounding Aki Shichiroji of Kitheres and a fun afternoon, and what have you got?
We had an entertaining time getting ourselves ready, but I think the results are worthwhile. Here follows some of the better photographs I took. My co-conspirators are Sasy Scarborough and Whimsy Winx, all photographed at The Deck

With Hair Fair 09 upon us, it’s important, amongst all the wonderful things to buy and try, people to meet and giggle with, laughs to be had over our own efforts to rezz everything, that there is a serious issue here. Most will know that this is a fundraiser for Lock of Love, a charity to fundraise to assist children afflicted with cancer. In my country of birth, we have a major event each year known as Bandana Day. On this day, everyone buys a colourful bandana to wear on their head, tied around the neck, tucked into a pocket, wherever. Thanks to Sasy Scarborough, we have the opportunity to purchase a bandana at the Hair Fair, and thanks to the many designers who joined in the spirit of this, we have a HUGE array from which to choose. And so cheap! Only 50 L apiece! And *all* money goes to Locks of Love.
And Remember 3rd July is Bandana Day, where we all take off our hair and wear a bandana. So get yours now, get 20 to brighten your day, and be ready for 3rd July!
Here is a small selection of my favourites:
From the delightfully whimsical Whimsy Winx
From Sasy Scarborough, she’s The Juggernaut
From POSH
From BUBU
From PE
From the wonderful Helen Stringer
I had an interesting time at the Hair Fair today, made all the more challenging because of the overwhelming numbers attending. I and some friends watched the 4 sims fill to maximum capacity within 2 minutes of the Fair opening. Many people nowadays are very aware of how their avatar and attachments can effect not only their performance, but that of the sim as a whole, and have taken a very responsible attitude to lessen their own personal load. Here follows some interesting photos of how some people dealt with potential issues before they arose.
This is my friend Zu Parx. Zu has a wicked sense of humour, if you see Zu, play a practical joke!
This is nifty – no one will know if you are male or female
Dress up as a statue! Or dipped in liquid plastic
Umm….dress in latex and make awful faces?
Dress up as….a drawing!
To Reduce Your lagability
1. Remove all unnecessary prims, including scripted objects. Wear system pants, shirt. thats all you need, trust me
2. go to Advanced/debug settings. A small box will pop, copy and paste into it this: RenderAvatarMaxVisible. You will see a value of 35 – reduce this to 5 and it will lighten the load considerably.
3. Do not watch your ARC or that of others. Have your Stats window open if you like (View/statistics bar) and keep an eye on your FPS and ping rate.
Hope this makes for a more pleasant trip to the Hair Fair 09 for you
